Former Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs and previous Ambassador to Germany, Delia Domingo-Albert requests former Envoy to the Middle East and ‘Thinking General’ Roy Cimatu, to be an ‘Ambassador for Natural Resources’.
“Your experience in diplomacy will be very, very useful for your job in the DENR. And one of the things that considered me to be the President’s envoy for mineral resource was the fact that I was a diplomat. And the first thing that I thought that would be very important was a regular dialogue between you, the DENR and the private sector.
Today’s session showed how much we have learned from this dialogue from the presentation you gave to us this afternoon. It widens everybody’s horizon. So, Mr. Ambassador, please be an Ambassador for Natural Resources because dialogue is very important.
To promote my dialogue, we have formed DIWATA – Women in Resource Development. These are women who are trying to provide a platform for regular dialogue because I think there is no problem we cannot address if there is a sincere and open dialogue between the public and private sector”.
